Empowering Youth in the Underserved Communities
Youth Civic Engagement Initiative
Youth Civic Engagement Initiative (YCEI) is a national organization dedicated to empowering youth in the underrepresented or disadvantaged communities to be an active, responsible participant in their own community and to create positive changes. While youth usually can participate in local youth councils, it is relatively hard for those in the disadvantaged groups to cast their voices. YCEI aims to unite such youth and provide resources and channels for them through policy advocacy and community activities.
Launched at Northern California in 2024, YCEI has developed more than 100 members spread over 14 states in the U.S. It connects and empowers members through both online seminars and in-person events & community services.
