Crystal Springs Uplands School, senior

David advocates for underserved communities: farmworkers, the Black and Latino community, and neurodiverse kids. He connects other students to the policy making process for those communities and takes part in it himself. In his free time he plays volleyball and listens to K-pop.

Sherry Chen

Director of Policy Research

Crystal Springs Uplands School, junior

Sherry cares about youth mental health, environmental awareness, photography and community service. Her research on athlete psychology looks at how performance pressure, self-worth, team culture and support systems affect athletes’ well-being, and she uses student journalism and photography to get other students talking about it.

Ethan Chen

Director of Community Outreach

Crystal Springs Uplands School, sophomore

Ethan is interested in data analysis, esports and youth leadership, and in how strategy, teamwork and data-driven decisions improve performance. He wants to use that to connect students with opportunities and to support underserved communities.
